The Essenzza ritual
A calm, step-by-step guide to a slow evening ritual — always shared with a partner.
Ear candling is a slow, soothing ritual — and it is always best shared. Set aside twenty unhurried minutes, soften the lights, and have a partner on hand to help. Read your pack's instruction booklet first, then follow these five gentle stages.
Five gentle stages, from setting the scene to settling into deep relaxation.
Choose a calm spot indoors, away from drafts, and move anything flammable out of the way.
Slide the candle through the protective stop disk, filter end first, up to the stop mark. The disk is there for your protection — use it every time.
Your partner lights the top of the candle. A gentle crackle is completely normal — there is nothing to be alarmed about.
As the flame nears the marked stop line, your partner extinguishes the candle in a glass of water kept nearby. Never let it burn past the mark.
Rest for a few minutes, then turn over and repeat on the second ear when you are ready.
